Oh god I know what we need in the next companion.
A compulsive liar.
I don’t mean like Clara, I mean like that one friend you had when you were six. A born con artist, who maybe even tries not to, but it just slips out. Someone who learns the Doctor’s beliefs physically change reality because whatever the Doctor believes about them is now true.
They tell the Doctor they’ve been a sprinter since they were nine and they were running for the school at eleven, county at thirteen, and they were on track to go to the olympics but decided at the last minute focussing on their A-levels was more important, but they can still sprint at over 24 miles per hour so they’re gonna be able to outrun the crashing ship that’s heading right towards them no problem.
And they do.

Ninjobservation #2
Analyzing the Elemental Alliance as a group and uncovering the real reason the Time twins (Twims for short) were "traitors"
So I have rewatched Hands of Time for the 3rd time this past year and Me and my sister Purplefern (She has a ton of good Twims fics on Ao3 ^^) have learned a lot about the old elemental alliance (EA).
THE CLAIM
The EA were a strong clique that did not appreciate the Twim's general attitudes and personalities. Chen saw the growing discourse and manipulated both sides into turning on each other.
[[They be judgin' (””art”” by me) ]]
To start let’s look at all the Leaders of this Alliance
Wu
Wu back before his eventual growth with the ninja was a strict teacher. Morro ran away due to his inability to understand his problems (problems he may have caused with his teachings). He is generally harsh towards the Ninja in season 1, forcing them to train all day because they simply talked during his lesson ("Never trust a snake").
Due to being the son of the FSM he put pressure on himself to always be virtuous and leaderlike (believes he has to uphold order) and he takes this believed expectation of authority to heart. He is no nonsense, yelling at Libber (the Master of Lightning) for simply talking slightly off topic before an important battle. He has a strong sense of right and wrong, according to his own moral standards and does not waver on what he believes is in/appropriate.
Garmadon
Although less righteous than Wu, joining the alliance after the war began, he has also been seen as a strict and serious teacher. Because of the growing venom in his blood I'd argue he was even more strict, less in attitude but more in general rules of law and order. We see in Rebooted that Garmadon set strict rules for himself like "no weapons" to keep his destructive side in check and we know that Young Garmadon is so sensitive to rules as he claims that even reading another's mail is a crime. He joined as a leader and most likely upheld rules not just for the alliance but for his own sake.
Ray and Maya
We see little of them but they are both good friends- and Ray appears to be the right hand man-- of Wu They are such good friends that Ray is the one trusted with the Map to the Golden Weapons. From his tone and diction he seems very dogmatic and if he's anything like Kai, he's quick to assumptions and to attack people who he perceives as bad according to his own strict principles. He just feels like a stuffy guy. I don't have much on Maya but she's a good people person so she gets along with the others really well. Also she married Ray, so that has to say something. They both went along with the Time Blade plan.
Other Elemental observations
Except for Libber (Lighting), all the Masters are older than the Time twins. (Krux can fight in S7 so he's not older than 70. They are most likely mid to late twenty's during the war)
The EA is a pre-established group (Garmadon refers to them like they are a pre-existing entity in ToE flashbacks). They were two confident and arrogent twenty year olds strolling into a pre-established clique of old honorable fighters during a war. Not the best time for bonding.
Ice feels very much like Wu and Garmadon, considering he gave his powers to an analytical robot like Zane is saying a lot about him. He most likely does not tolerate "shenanigans", especially during a war.
They battle in a tight group
Krux and Acronix
These two act like they don't belong in the group. During the party celebrating the end of the war they are seen standing away from the rest and are genuinely happy to be recognized by Wu for their efforts. Although retcon, the two are not seen battling with the rest of the group. They instead most likely are so powerful (and impulsive and difficult to work with) that they are sent on duo missions to protect villages (They are also not the best followers).
It's also a nice parallel to our ninja in ToE. They stuck together like a family and were disliked and excluded from the rest of the EM's. The same could be said for The Twims since they always fought together and were similarly excluded.
Krux
Krux is a planner and a sassy dude. He’s stubborn and will tell people they are wrong to their face. The 16 personalities that matches him best is INTJ (the Architect). This analytical type hates people who are who they consider idiotic, do not participate in formalities, and are aggravated by heavy rules and restrictions made by someone else, especially someone they do not respect (which is most people).
Although we do not see him much as a young man we know that he is prone to grudges and will resort to less kind methods in sake for the means to an end. Definitely not someone Wu and Garmadon would like since they are trying to uphold order and keep a chain of command. But Krux believes in his own plans and his own chain of command. He is not good at small talk and would mostly stick with his brother during group events like meetings and parties, so in general his terrible social skills probably made him pretty unliked.
Acronix
Acronix is quick witted and heavily proud of himself. He won’t admit he is wrong and is very loud in general. This may be a side tangent but Acronix may have ADHD, which would not be understood back in the day and people would regard him as annoying or rude.
EVIDENCE FOR ADHD
-He is shown to stand in a position that suggests hand fidgeting (A LOT)
-Quick to anger over minuscule details
-yeah he's distractible but he's also quick to move through ideas/activities
-impulsive
- During their important battle back in time his attention is on the pretty fusion dragon flying around instead of listening to Kruxs plan of attack.
-His attention shifts to the destiny's bounty and he toys with the ninja despite saying right before he couldn't stay and fight Wu cause he had to meet up with Krux.
- in general he is constantly shifting from idea to idea, oftentimes leaving his original plans completely un-finished
He could have trouble paying attention to meetings and with his bond with Krux and tendency to quick action he would choose his brother's plan and strike independently rather than following whatever Wu is doing. This leads them to fight beside each other alone instead of with the main group, making the elemental alliance think they believe to be better than them.
In terms of Personality types he’s a hardcore ESTP (Entrepreneur). Like his brother, they are free analytical thinkers who do not respect higher authority simply because they claim to be the leaders and hate rules and regulations getting in the way of their progress. He says what's on his minds regardless of feelings and will defend his opinions despite others sensitivities. He is perceptive enough to pick up on small changes and habits but he is quick to share that knowledge (usually in a snarky remark). I doubt the alliance appreciates what he has to say when he’s blabbering about everything in such a rude tone.
MOE
Now this all may start to look like a silly “Hands of time did nothing wrong” theory. But there is a key factor in this that not many people talk about. The previous Master of Earth (or Moe for short).
We know that Chen manipulated Moe into turning against the alliance so it was not technically his fault. Chen could’ve said that because the serpentine rose from the earth he was entitled to fight for them. Heck he could’ve been 100% hypnotized by Clouse’s dark magic (His eyes were not swirly so it was not hypnobrai like is suggested in WOTD). He is most likely some lovable dummy who was easily swayed and a kind person to apologize once the truth about Chen is revealed (considering that he’s Cole’s grandfather). Moe as a person is fine. What is sketchy is Moe being easily forgiven and allowed into the alliance despite turning on all of HUMANITY. What he did could’ve hurt way more people. He fought with the snakes and attacked innocent people and powerless soldiers (like the rice farmers) and was off scott free! The Twims only fought the elemental alliance and Wu and Garmadon at the monastery. Not nearly as destructive.
They figured out that Chen made the alliance turn on each other after the war and forgave Moe for that, but isn't it strange that they never gave the Time Twins that same benefit of the doubt? We know from “Way of the departed” and general logic that Chen and Clouse helped tip them over the edge. Whether you believe this to be canon or not is irrelevant because if the EA knew that Chen was involved once why would they not assume he was with the time twins too? Seems like they already disliked the two and were just ready for a reason to punish them. All flashbacks we get are told from unreliable sources like Wu and Ray (who both were enthusiastically the ones planning to strip them of their powers.) Speaking of, let’s analyze this example of their “betrayal” shall we?
THE BATTLE IN QUESTION
This is the flashback we get of them fighting against the alliance. The first time you watch it all you really know is that they are fighting against the EA, when Wu is describing their arrogance and the danger of their powers. How evil right? To attack their companions like that? But there is a lot wrong with how Wu phrases the fight and how it actually goes down.
They have Bamboo staffs.
A weapon that is primarily defensive and not a good weapon of choice for a planned ambush or assault. They are non lethal weapons. And Acronix is said on LEGO.com to be quick to learn any weapon so someone as adaptable as he is would not intentionally bring something so weak to a fight unless he had been forced to improvise.
Always on the defensive.
Someone as tactical as Krux and skilled as Acronix would never let themselves be on the defensive like this if they had the first blow. We see that Ray has the first attack in the flashback. Although Acronix is known to jump in without thinking he has his brother who would not just go into a fight just to lose. And even if they did end up on the defensive after having the first strike Acronix has his powers. He would’ve brought both of them out of a situation if things got too hard (which he is known to do in battles HE starts). But they clearly did not start this battle.
They are surrounded.
These two guys with nothing but staffs are encircled? Krux as a planner and Acronix as a quick witted warrior would never let themsleves get into that position if it had been a battle that they had started and had been planning to win. This framing makes it feel like they are being ganged up on.
In a remote location.
The battle takes place on a gravel road no where near a major city. If they wanted to take over wouldn’t they strike somewhere more populated? And if they were attacking the EA...they would have attacked the EA directly. They were probably just walking and talking and got ambushed.
Chen?
Very possible that Chen sent an “anonymous” note to the EA telling them of the Twims plans to attack. They are arrogant, have openly hated Wu’s leadership, and don’t gel with the group so of course they would take a tip like that and attack someone they don’t like. It’s possible they had ideas of taking over the EA but the world seems a bit out of their morality range until provoked.
Now that they have been attacked the two form a real plan to overthrow these fools who don’t like them and have unfairly attacked them (just like Chen had been telling them they were likely to do). They bring real weapons (swords) to an important location (the Monastery) to fight the specific people they do not like (Wu and Garmadon).
The Punishment
Ok so these powerful elemental masters are going to attack the EA. They were once allies and they are too powerful to defeat with their powers. If only there was a way to temporarily suspend their powers so they could talk this out and have an understanding of each other and perhaps uncover Master Chen's involvement-- since the Hands of Time were semi-sensible war heroes who were the sons of a previous master of time who presumably responsibly used the element without issue (and was most likely a samurai since Krux says their helmets are samurai helmets)... sigh too bad there is not such a material… oh wait.
WHAT ABOUT VENGESTONE???
These fools really decided that destroying an important element forever, and violently ripping it out of its users was the only option? There were generations of time elementals before them that had the element. They could throw vengestone nets at them or fight until they get knocked out and then vengestone cage them. But they don’t want to know why they betrayed the alliance. It was not because the element was too dangerous. It was not because they had to strip them of their powers (cause there are less lethal ways of doing so). They just did not give these two any mercy.
CONCLUSION
The Time twins are hard to work with and stuck together no matter what. The alliance is very strict and dogmatic which both Krux and Acronix would hate being trapped in their day to day alliance meetings and group mentality. Chen used their egos and their exclusion to his benefit to keep the fight going after he was banished and sent a letter to start up conflict with the EA. The EA did not like the Twims so they were ruthless and did not give them the same mercy they did for Moe (They also are not Elements of Creation. Wu would do anything to protect the main 4 but he’ll punish these punks).

Always
A/N: This is one of the many one-shots I have been thinking about writing lately. I have not felt up to writing in a good minute and writing this made me realize just why I love writing so much and that I miss it. Forgive me if it is a bit rough around the edges; I might rewrite it later.
Summary: No matter what happens, she’ll always be there for him.
Pairing: Jason Todd x Reader
Warnings: Major Character Death, Angst
Word Count: 1,412
I couldn’t let him go alone. I just couldn’t.
I knew how much this meant to him and I could only imagine what might happen if he went on his own, and I couldn’t let him.
If I found out that the woman who gave birth to me was out there somewhere, I would do anything to find her as well.
No one could have known it would have gone down the way it did though.
…
He tried to hide it from me in the beginning, but I knew him well enough to know when something was up.
I waited for him to come to me like he always did when something was bothering him or he found something out that he did want to keep to himself but he wasn’t really ready to share with anyone else. But he never did.
“What’s up, Jay?”
I cornered him in an alley during patrol. Bruce was on the other side of the city dealing with some low lives like Jason and I just had so I knew we had a little bit of time before he became suspicious of our lack of movement.
“What are you talking about?” His reply was nonchalant but I could feel him stiffen slightly at my question.
“I know you are hiding something from me, Jay. I didn’t think we were keeping secrets from one another.”
Jason had been my best friend since Bruce adopted us. First him, then me a few weeks later. Gotham street rats we were and we bonded quickly because of it.
We didn’t trust our ‘good fortune’ in the beginning; ready to bail if things became the least bit sketchy, but they never did. We trusted each other. Over time we opened up more and more to one another and somewhere in the mix feelings were shared and romance blossomed.
Fast forward a few years and we are literally inseparable. I would die for him and I know he would do the same for me in a heartbeat. We have complete confidence in one another and that’s why I know he’ll tell me what’s going on in his mind.
“I found my birth mother.” He said softly. “She’s alive and I plan on going to meet her.”
I’m in shock at first. I didn’t even know Jason was adopted. I don’t even know how he knew. How’d he find out? How’d he find her? Where was she? Did Bruce know? I didn’t voice any of these questions at first.
“I’m going with you.” Is all I said.
From the look on Jason’s face, he wants to protest. Maybe he wants to do this on his own. Maybe he doesn’t want me to get in trouble in case things go sideways or Bruce finds out. Maybe he doesn’t want me there in case she isn’t who she says she is. Honestly, all of this is why I should go with him. He might not realize it, but he’ll need moral support regardless of what happens. And I will be there to give it to him.
“Non-negotiable Jay.” I cut him off before he can get his protest out. “I’m going with you because I know you didn’t tell Bruce or Dick and I am not letting you go alone.”
He looks at me for a good few minutes, truly contemplating what I have said and for a moment I think he is still going to refuse me, but he instead pulls me into the sweetest most passionate kiss we have shared since our first time and I am eager to reciprocate.
“I got your back, my love. Always.” I say as I rest my forehead against his and he wraps his arms tight around my waist.
“What would I do without you?”
“I don’t think you ever want to find out.”
We laugh softly into the chilled Gotham air before our communicators beep and Batman’s voice can be heard.
“Robin, (Y/S/N), meet me on the roof of the GCPD. Commissioner Gordan has new information we need to see.”
“On our way.”
…
It didn’t even go how I imagined it would.
When Jason told me about this Shelia Haywood, something just felt off. I didn’t know what and I really didn’t want to worry Jason with my unsubstantiated suspicions or ruin this for him, so I kept my mouth shut and God do I wish I’d done more.
It was a set up from the beginning. He told me she knew he was Robin, but he didn’t realize just how much power was in that information.
She sold us out to the Joker of all people. I don’t care why she did it, but it broke my heart not only when we found out, but the look on Jason’s face when the psychopath killed her right in front of him. She might have been a piece of shit but she was still his mother. I just knew he would never recover.
And he never got the chance.
That clown tied us to chairs and made us watch as he beat the two of us back and forth. First Jason, then me.
I was sure each blow would hit just the right spot to end this nightmare, but he obviously knew what he was doing.
By the time he finished with us, neither I nor Jason could barely move or breathe. I could hear his quick shallow breaths and I knew for sure one of his lungs must be collapsed. There was a gash somewhere above his hairline that caused blood to run into his beautiful blue eyes, not that it mattered much seeing as though they were practically swollen shut.
I could hear Joker getting ready to leave and say something cruel and meaningless, but all I could focus on was my Jason.
When the door finally slammed shut and the clown’s laughter was gone, I used all my strength to rip my hands out of the ropes binding them.
Once I was free, I limped over to a barely conscious Jason and undid his bindings as well.
“Come on Jay. We can’t stay here.”
I tried with all my might to pull him up and out of his chair but only succeeded in causing us both to topple to the floor.
I let out a quick cry of pain and I could hear a muffled moan from my boyfriend. From the undistinguished sounds coming from him, it appeared as though he was trying to say something, but I had to get us out of there first.
“Hold on Jay. I’m gonna get us out of here.”
I hobbled to the door, the pain in my legs increasing with every step I took. But I refused to give up.
The door was locked when I got to it but I couldn’t stop now. Jason was counting on me.
I pulled with all my might and after a few unsuccessful attempts, the lock on the door finally gave way and it swung open just a crack.
I let out a cross between a laugh and a cry as I turned back to my companion who was lying on the floor on the other side of the cabin facing away from me.
“I got it open my love. We can go now.” I said as I neared him.
His breathing was no longer noisy but I assumed that was because he was unconscious. No matter. I’ll drag him out of here if I have to.
I laid my hands on his shoulder to turn him over and I could actually feel all the blood in my body turn to ice.
He wasn’t breathing. I could actually feel his skin chilling with the frigid temperatures outside.
Jason. The love of my life. My soulmate. Was gone.
I didn’t realize how much worse he got it than me. How quickly he was deteriorating. And now he was no more.
He’d left me right before we had our freedom. Freedom I didn’t want without him.
I didn’t look at the door as I collapsed in front of him.
I didn’t hear the tick tick ticking not five feet away from us as I laid my forehead against his, wrapping his lifeless arms around me.
I couldn’t hear the faint sound of a motorbike speeding towards the cabin as I spoke my final words.
“I love you, Jason Todd. Forever and always.”
There was nothing but darkness after that.
A/N: I want to apologize to everyone for my lack of presence. It has been far too long. I have suffered writer's block, school has been an issue then work, I had a major death in my family and then COVID-19. I feel like a big ball of excuses tbh. Now I want to take some time to focus on my writing. I plan on continuing Forever, Together, and the Ours series, and I have a few new things I have in the works but everything else is on an indefinite hiatus but definitely not discontinued. Please feel free to message me with questions, comments, concerns, random facts about your day. Anything is welcome. I will be back soon!

The Operating Room
Inverted Character Intros 3/7: Schneep
People who asked me to tag them: @evyptids @awkward-bullshit @watermelonsinmyattic @asunachinadoll @a-humble-narcissus
I’m a horrible judge of what upsets people. I think this is alright, but if it crosses a line, please let me know so I can tag it or something
“You sure this is the place?” the man asked. “Looks a little...sketchy.”
The building sat on the fringes of town. It wasn’t really run-down, actually it was in better repair than most of its surroundings. But there was no sign or any sort of label. The room through the large front window was dark, and with the sun barely setting you couldn’t see anything inside.
“Well, not like we have a choice.” The woman shrugged as best as she could while still supporting her companion. “Unless you want the hospital wondering why you got shot three times. They’re obligated to call the police with any gunshot wounds, you know.”
The man winced. His wounds throbbed with new pain: one in the leg, one in the abdomen, one in the hip. The leg has been a through-and-through, but he still had bullets lodged in his torso. “Good point,” he mumbled, leaning on the woman even more. “Let’s go.”
The door opened, and a buzzing sound let everyone inside know someone had just entered. The woman flipped a light switch near the door, revealing what looked like an impromptu waiting room. A bunch of upholstered chairs leaned against the walls, and small end tables next to them held some old out-of-date magazines. The walls were undecorated, off-white plaster only broken up by a single gray door. A long desk with a computer monitor and a swivel chair seemed to serve as reception, but nobody was there.
“Maybe it’s closed,” the man suggested hopefully.
“Places like this don’t close,” the woman said stubbornly. “Now stop worrying. This guy may be a little weird, but he’s very good.”
“I appreciate that you think so.” The door opened, and a man stepped out. “And you are right, of course. I am great doctor.”
“Ah, so you’re the guy,” the man mumbled. “Well I—” he stumbled a bit. The woman had to help him stay on his feet.
The doctor hummed thoughtfully, eyes scanning up and down. “The gun wounds, yes? I am assuming there are bullets still inside you want me to remove?”
“Exactly,” the woman confirmed. “Two of them. We hear you do good work and can, ah, keep quiet.”
“Of course, of course.” The doctor waved a dismissive hand. “I will expect payment for this.”
“I don’t carry cash—”
“I can wait a week or so. Now, if you could please wait here while I take your friend to be fixed up...”
“But I—”
“I do not care. I cannot have distractions while on such an important operation.”
The woman opened her mouth to keep protesting, but the man looked at her and shook his head. “It’s okay,” he said. “We’re in kind of a rush, since I don’t want to bleed out and all. And I’ll remind you that this was your idea.” The woman scowled, but let him shift his weight from her to the doctor. She sat on a chair and watched as her companion and the doctor went into the other room. The door swung shut with a strange finality.
“If you will lay down on the table, please,” the doctor said, pushing the man toward said table. “I am going to prepare anesthetic.”
The man eyed it. “Yeah, no thanks.”
“Ha! If you are worried about the straps, my friend, that is because I am not always able to have painkillers. We will not need them today, and I am not going to give you or your friend reason to not pay me.” The man stood stubbornly, despite his unsteady swaying, and the doctor rolled his eyes. “You can just sit, if that makes you feel better.”
Cautiously, the man did so, and looked around the room. It looked like the operating rooms you see on TV, just a bit more thrown-together. There were trays full of wicked-looking medical equipment, and giant lamps provided bright white spotlights. A couple rickety metal tables around the room held various devices and instruments, and two metal doors led deeper into the building.
The doctor busied himself at one of the tables, partially hidden in the shadows. “So, why is it that you come to me with three bullet holes inside you?”
“Why d’you care?” the man said suspiciously.
“I make it a point to know these things about my patients. Maybe your girlfriend out there could tell me if you won’t.”
“She’s not my girlfriend.”
“Sister, then?”
“Nah, I’m an only child. Don’t have much family left, and they probably wouldn’t care enough to drag me here if they knew I was shot.”
“I see, I see.” The doctor pulled on a pair of blue latex gloves, then glanced back over to the man. “You do not have to tell me the big picture. I am smart enough to figure things out. But I must know the details, like the type of gun.”
“I dunno, handgun? It was too dark in the room to make it out.” The man felt a sudden surge of anger. “It was going so well, too. That bitch-ass red hood wannabe didn’t see us coming. We probably could’ve done it, had his friend not shown up at the last minute. Just a few bang, bang, bangs and we had to run...They’re probably following us, actually, so you should make this quick if you don’t want a shootout in the middle of your little emergency room here.”
“...I see.” The doctor picked up a syringe. In this lighting, it looked so dramatic that the man half-expected the doctor to squirt out a bit of the fluid inside, like you see in movies. But that would’ve been a waste of whatever was inside. “This is the anesthetic. Now if you will stick out your arm, we could get underway.”
The man realized he’d leaned back unconsciously. He shook himself mentally. His friend thought this was a good place, and she was usually right. A backdoor operation like this would probably be kind of creepy. So, despite his instincts, he rolled up his sleeve and let the doctor shove a needle in his arm.
“It will take a few moments to kick in,” the doctor explained. “Now, if you don’t mind, that is enough time for me to make a very important phone call. I have been meaning to do so all day. I will see you in a little while.” And with that, he turned and pushed though a door into another room.
What a strange man. Well, he had an accent, so maybe it was a culture thing. The man could do nothing but sit and wait for the anesthesia to kick in.
He’d never been on painkillers before, at least not that he could remember. Was the room supposed to be tilting? Were his thoughts supposed to be spinning? He tried to lift his hand to his head, but his movements were beginning to slow...maybe he just...needed to lie down...but he didn’t want that...why was that again?...remembering took a longer time than it normally did...when he blinked the lights began to blur...
There was a pap! sound. In his slow mind, it took him too long to recognize it as a gunshot. A couple more followed. They were disturbingly close...didn’t he just say something about being followed?...He was hit with a sense of urgency all of a sudden. He tried to stand up but ended up almost falling over instead. He hadn’t lost that much blood, had he?
“Ah, seems they were closer than I thought.” The doctor came back into the room, the lower half of his face hidden by a blue surgical mask. He walked over to the operating table.
“Wha...what’s goin...?” the man slurred. Things were starting to swirl in front of his eyes.
“Well, you are very unlucky, my friend.” The doctor pushed the man down onto the table. Vaguely, the man was aware of something being strapped across his chest. “Had you been anyone else, I would have done the operation you wanted and sent you on your way, provided you did eventually pay. But the man you went after happens to be a friend of mine, and I just got his permission to do my actual work.”
The man turned his head. “My...she...”
“She’s probably already dead. You should not worry about her right now. Well, you should not worry about yourself either. I am very good at my job.”
“What...did you do...to me?”
The doctor pulled down his mask, smiling at the man. “Is not anesthetic. You may not be entirely conscious, but is not painkiller, because it will not kill the pain. You may not enjoy this.” He pulled the mask back in place.
The next morning, two men met in the local park. One of them wore a red hoodie, the other one wore a blue sweater and glasses. They sat in silence on a bench, each one nursing a coffee. After a while, Jackie asked, “Did you kill him?”
Dr. Schneeplestein made a so-so gesture with his hand. “Eventually. Actually, I should go check soon.”
Jackie raised an eyebrow. “Have I ever told you that you’re really fucked up?”
Schneep smiled. “Many times.” And he didn’t care.
Oh boy, it’s time to take all the evil doctor tropes I know and smash them together into my third favorite Septic! ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ I watched Schneep’s original power hour, specifically that one part at 4:50, while writing this and I thought, yeah, this is where I’m going to take it. Honestly, ze good doctah never really seemed like he had it all there to me, so why not push that angle?
Inverted!Schneep takes his operations very seriously, even if those operations aren’t exactly legal...or moral. His main source of income is his little clinic, where he does actually treat patients who, for whatever reason, can’t go to the hospital. But then he has his little hobby. I’m going to let your imagination fill in most of the details, but I will say that he has a sort of fascination with taking things apart and putting them back together. He’s *very* unstable, but he’s also *very* smart, so he knows how to avoid drawing attention to himself. Surprisingly enough, he’s the most sociable of the Inverted!boys, or at least he is within their little circle. And he is actually a doctor oratleasthewenttomedicalschool, so if any of the others get injured while doing their thing, they have someone they can turn to without things getting complicated.

The Missy Chronicles and why it’s one of the best Doctor Who books ever made.
Is it as hilarious as it sounds? Even more so.
I just read The Missy Chronicles and I still can’t believe how perfect it is. Each story brings something unique to Missy’s character and adds some interesting things to Doctor Who canon that you really, no I mean really, don’t want to miss.
(Below is a short synopsis of each story and some memorable quotes/things that happened. If you don’t want spoilers, come back and read this once you’ve read the book!)
1. Dismemberment by James Goss
Basically, the Master always goes to this sketchy gentlemen’s club after he regenerates to just chill and be around other morally questionable people. But this time there’s a problem. The Master (as Missy, though she hasn’t decided on her name at this point) goes to the club like usual after her regeneration, but gets kicked out because she’s a woman. The rest of the story is her carrying out very extravagant plots for revenge on each of the members of the club, including, but not limited to: making it rain blood; tying a man to train tracks, marrying him, and then letting him get run over; and last but not least, freeing an African American slave and letting her poison the food at the club’s big annual celebration, telling them they can be cured if they eat some paper, and then telling them after they eat the paper that she was lying.
Favourite quotes:
About Missy: “Her eyes possessed that cold burn you got from holding ice.”
Missy: “So sorry I’m late. Just been running over a maths teacher with a milk float. You know how it is.” (GUYS I’M NOT CRAZY MY THEORY WAS RIGHT AND IT’S NOW CONFIRMED, MISSY KILLED DANNY!!!!!)
Generally, this story was funny and very typically Missy. Also the African American slave Missy saved is the one who eventually comes up with the name Missy, and the only person from the club that Missy didn’t kill was a certain man named Dr. Skarosa...
2. Lords and Masters by Cavan Scott
The time lords recruit Missy to go on a mission for them, so they hijack the Eye of Harmony in her TARDIS and send a time lady to hold a gun to her head. Basically she has to figure out what’s causing some strange time disturbances, and it turns out this doctor genetically engineered a creature that could travel in space and time and kept it in stasis so that he could gain the power from its energy or something like that. Missy was supposed to kill the creature, but instead she manipulated the time lady to kill the doctor, kept the creature, and miniaturized then killed the time lady and sent her back to the General on Gallifrey.
Favourite quotes:
“Missy had places to go and people to subjugate.”
“Missy gave her the look she usually reserved for simpletons and UNIT personnel.”
Not too much went on story-wise, but it was interesting to see how Missy dealt with being pushed around by the time lords. She also gets her first “companion” in this story: Yayani, the time lady who’s supposed to kill her if she doesn’t obey the time lords’ instructions.
3. Teddy Sparkles Must Die! by Paul Magrs
Yes, it is just about as strange as it sounds. Missy becomes the governess of three children in early/mid-20th century England. The children are suspicious of her and go through her things, only to find a sparkly teddy bear who’s really an alien who can distort time and complicated stuff to grant wishes. The teddy bear lets them go to crazy places like the moon and Missy gets the kids out of trouble. In return for her rescuing them, she wants the kids to wish to grow up to be powerful people in the world, and the kids do it because they don’t really get it. So they grow up and become powerful people, forgetting about Missy. Then Missy comes back when they’re older and demands they give her the world. Teddy Sparkles (the alien bear) thwarts Missy’s plan by rewriting time and sending the kids back to their childhood, though he also accidentally incorporates crazy creatures that Missy told the kids stories about into the world. Teddy Sparkles uses up the rest of his energy/life to set everything right again, even inventing a fictional story about a governess with a carpet bag and an umbrella who takes children on fantastic adventures so that Missy will become famous, which is something she hates because she gets crowded by people gawking at her. Missy leaves, and in the end one of the children grows up to be a grandmother, and Teddy Sparkles shows up as a Christmas present for one of her grandchildren.
I didn’t write down any really memorable quotes from this one, but the whole Mary Poppins connection was great, and I found it interesting that Missy actually “lost” in this one; it wasn’t from her point of view at all, either.
4. The Liar, the Glitch, and the War Zone by Peter Anghelides
This one is pretty complicated to explain because it’s very timey-wimey, but basically Missy runs her TARDIS into some Gryphons (after escaping from the Daleks at the end of The Witch’s Familiar) and then crash lands in 21st century Venice. Through a series of things happening (time rifts and stuff are involved), Missy’s dematerialisation circuit ends up in 14th century Venice and she goes back in time with a random girl (Antonia) and also tries to destroy 21st century Venice in order to get her TARDIS working again and escape the Gryphons. After the TARDIS starts working again Missy time rams her TARDIS and everything undoes itself, so 21st century Venice goes back to normal. Missy tries to leave Antonia in 14th century Venice with her dead friend who fell through a time rift, but Antonia mysteriously ends back up in the TARDIS. More on that in a sec because...
GUYS. THE THIRTEENTH DOCTOR IS IN THIS STORY. NO JOKE. Missy discovers her dematerialisaiton circuit went back in time when she sees an ad for it being on display in a museum. She tries to ask where it came from, but all the employees keep telling her to talk to the curator. So finally she sets up an appointment, and that’s where I immediately became suspicious. The curator’s office is very thoroughly described, and while the combination of old and new stuff (including a plague doctor’s mask) could be telling of the Doctor (I mean, Day of the Doctor and the Curator, hello???), it also could just be a typical curator. But what set me off was that the curator is never physically described at all. There are other clues (before an obvious reveal at the end of the story.) Through the whole story people keep calling Missy “signora” and she insists that she wants to be called “signorina” instead. The curator calls Missy “signorina” without any indication from Missy. And as the curator is helping Missy find out where the dematerialisation circuit came from, she says “I do enjoy this kind of research myself. It’s a real trip into the past.” Missy also runs into a plague doctor back in the 14th century when she’s getting her circuit back. Then at the end it’s made really clear. Antonia shows up in Missy’s TARDIS (after Missy tried to abandon her) saying “If it wasn’t for her, no one would have seen me again.” She then gives Missy a note: “...two short paragraphs of neat handwriting chastised Missy for her lack of caution, and told her that she would need to try much harder.” Missy goes back to the curator’s office and finds it empty except for the plague doctor’s mask. All the curator’s secretary can tell her is (and it’s the last line of the story): “The doctor doesn’t work here any more.” (*SCREAMS*)
Also, Missy decides to call one of the Gryphons “Hermione” and then says that she’s a Slytherin girl herself because she goes for the bad boys. She also says that she sees some Severus Snape in herself.
5. Girl Power! by Jacqueline Rayner
I don’t know how Jacqueline Rayner can write perfect Doctor Who stories. Every. Single. Time.
This story is not told in traditional narrative fashion, but initially through messages that Nardole and the Twelfth Doctor send back and forth to each other. Nardole is guarding Missy in the vault and is worried when she seems to be putting together some sort of plot. The Doctor tells him to go along with it, and soon enough Missy is contacting important and influential women all throughout history to create MADAM, Missy’s Army for the Demotion of All Men. (I’m still dying over that XD). She creates a group on “Spacebook” and chats with these women, including Henry VIII’s wives, Joan of Arc, Lady Jane Grey, Elizabeth I, Agatha Christie, and Jane Austen. Basically Missy just wants them all to kill all the men on the planet. But the Doctor joins the chat pretending to be Circe and gets all the women to leave the chat. He and Missy end up talking because Missy of course knows it’s him, and the Doctor thinks she came up an elaborate plot so that she could escape the Vault. Missy sort of accidentally confesses, however, that she was trying to have the oppressed (women) fight their oppressors (men), like the Doctor would do.
Favourite quotes:
Literally the entire story. The synopsis is vague because the meat of the story is Missy writing all these feminist things about how to respond to stupid man questions and how to do things that women can’t do at certain points in time (like vote, own property, etc.) and sending them to the members of MADAM. At the beginning of the story Nardole relates to the Doctor things that Missy has asked for, and the Doctor approves or disapproves them. These things include: hairspray, history books about important women (which was where she got the MADAM idea), marshmallows, a campfire (to roast the marshmallows; however, the Doctor doesn’t approve that one because “If she’s still got that can of hairspray, we could all be in big trouble.”), a tiger, and sherbert lemons.
Missy: “It has come to my notice that being a woman isn’t just about the addition of some wobbly bits and a sudden inability to grow a goatee.”
Missy on her Spacebook profile under the section ‘other names:’ “Professor Thascales, Colonel Masters, Reverend Magister, Sir Gilles Estram, Mister Saxon. Look, if I called myself ‘Reggie’ or ‘Dave’ the Doctor never even had the decency to suspect it was me. I used to go to a lot of trouble dressing myself up for him so is it so wrong to want some attention?”
Missy on her Spacebook profile under the section ‘life events:’ “Born, Died, Died, Died, Died, Died, Died, Died, Died, Died, Died, Died, Died Died, Died, Took over some bloke’s body, Died, Died, Died, Became a human, Stopped being a human, Died, Died, Became a woman, Ruled!”
Missy: “I’m 100% done with human women. Hate the lot of them. Hope they all use lead-based makeup and die.”
I literally did not stop laughing throughout this entire story. And I really mean that. My abs hurt.
6. Alit in Underland by Richard Dinnick
Takes place during World Enough and Time/The Doctor Falls. Missy and Simm!Master travel around Floor 507 with Alit, the girl who gave Cyber-Bill the mirror in The Doctor Falls. The Masters (with Alit in tow) take out some Cybermen who come after them and find an elevator to leave the floor.
Not much plot-wise, as you can see, and it’s a fairly short story. But bantering between the Masters is fantastic, and one of the best parts is Missy and Simm talking about how much they love cartoons. Missy tells him that she and the Doctor watched Frozen together and Simm can’t believe it and keeps judging her for it, when finally Missy tells him to “Let it go.”
The other interesting and really cool aspect to this story is Missy’s character. She comforts Alit, tells her a story when she’s frightened, and even holds her hand. She also deliberately saves people, but keeps that a secret from Simm. I really like how the final two stories incorporate Missy’s slight moral shift. And the last little bit of the story, and of the book itself, is awesome:
Simm!Master: “Tell me. Travelling with the Doctor. What is that all about?”
“I was imprisoned. It was the only way out.”
“So you did have a plan before you ran into me. Get rid of him; betray him?” He licked his lips. “Kill him?”
“Get rid...?” Missy looked at the Master, and her face became a stony façade. “That has a certain ring to it.”
...
“Note to self: Get rid of...betray...kill.” Missy nodded. “Yes. I suppose that’s the only way.”
The Missy Chronicles, everyone. If you have the chance to read it, please do.

Colombia: Part Two
Our remaining weeks in Colombia were spent on rocky roads and mountain passes. Apparently everywhere worth visiting is either off the beaten path or up at some ridiculously high elevation and often times, both. Fortunately, we had some companions for this stretch of the trip which minimized the daunting daily tasks we faced.
Here We Go Again
Leaving Medellín we were joined by Iris, a colourful Belgian girl who’s been riding for the past six months in Birkenstocks. The three of us made our way to a zone known as the Triángulo del Café and visited Jardín, Filandia and Salento. Cowboy hats filled every town square and it seemed like we were in the wild west of coffee culture. After a few days exploring this region, and drinking copious cups of café con leche, we parted ways with our biking partner and headed east to Ibagué.
El Libertador Park Jardín
The route we took was unpaved and steeper than we were expecting, but the surrounding groves of wax palms overshadowed the infamous Valle de Cocora. Unfortunately, our setups don’t handle bumpy roads very well and by day two things were starting to fall apart; One of Nick’s cables broke which made it impossible for him to gear down and my brakes were hardly working, so while he’d be pushing his bike up steep gravel roads, I’d be flying down them out of control.
Wax Palms
Finally, we hit pavement on the outskirts of Ibagué and were able to start heading to our next destination: Colombia’s Desierto de la Tatacoa. To get there we had to take another dirt road but heavy rain had turned it to mud, which we discovered, is even worse for bikes.
Desierto de la Tatacoa
After a three-hour slog, we made it to the red rocks of the Tatacoa Desert and found a small wall-less building to camp at. We thought we were beyond the tourist traffic but a few minutes after getting settled, a tour bus pulled up and 30 people got out and began taking photos of us and our ‘secret’ shelter.
How Did Anyone Ever Find Us?
The days after Tatacoa were challenging. Our bodies were exhausted and we got quite sick (maybe it was all the dirty water we drank?). We ended up hitchhiking to the uninspiring town of San Agustín where we took a few rest-days at a local campground and passed the time by eating pastries.
Sweet Stuff
Once we were feeling better we continued biking south towards Mocoa to meet our friend Christina, a Canadian girl we’d met in Baja California, and tackle El Trampolín de la Muerte (The Trampoline of Death); A sketchy gravel mountain pass carved into the side of the Andes that I swore I’d never do.
Warm Up
On our way, we spent the night in the little bus stop settlement of San Juan, a place I’m assuming people only stay at out of necessity. We asked a local woman if there were any camping options nearby and immediately she offered up her own home. The lady, Lucero, ended up being a legendary host and after we set up our tent on the balcony, she cooked us dinner and took us to the town billiards hall where we played ‘Colombian Pool’ with the owner.
Making ourselves at home at Lucero’s Place
The next morning Lucero insisted on biking with us. Although we had to stop every 10 minutes to wait for her, and I had to give her my water because she hadn’t brought any, my heart was warmed by seeing her four-foot figure pedaling as hard as she could up the hills behind us. After such a difficult week, our unexpected stopover in San Juan was exactly the motivation we needed to continue.
Nick and the One and Only, Lucero
In Mocoa we met up with Christina and Jamie – an English guy who also bikes in Birkenstocks – and hastily got organized for the two-day ride on the Trampolín de la Muerte. The four of us decided that conquering it together might be a bit easier than going solo.
Trampolín de la Muerte
Looking back, I wouldn’t say it made the ride any less difficult, but morale was high and even when we were biking in the pouring rain at 4000m, while semi-trucks tried to pass us on narrow corners, it still felt like an adventure rather than a death wish.
Ride Together and Hopefully Not Die Together
For a road named after a murderous trampoline, it turned out to be a beautiful ride and it was pretty satisfying to defeat something that seemed unbearable months before. Once again, our bikes were falling apart by the second day, but we weren’t swept away by a landslide or knocked off the mountain by a loco driver so we couldn’t complain.
Five Star Treatment at the Bomberos
To my dismay, the trampolín ended up being one of the easier parts of our last days in Colombia. It seemed the further south we got, the more mountains we encountered and every day required at least a few (if not more) hours of uphill. In the week it took us to reach the Ecuador border crossing, we biked the equivalent elevation of climbing Mount Everest…three times.
Ain’t No Mountain High Enough
When we finally got our exit stamps, we unceremoniously spent our last Colombian pesos on arepas con queso and tinto (black coffee and lots of sugar), a fitting combo for our bittersweet goodbye. Despite the physical beating our bodies and bikes took during our two and a half months in Colombia, I have to admit, the beauty was always worth the pain.

How to Pick the Right Astrologer for You
For what reason would it be advisable for you to know how to pick a best astrologer in bangalore?
You will locate that a wide range of celestial prophets and best astrologer in karnataka administrations publicize on Evolving Door Astrology. The wage from these advertisements keeps the data on this site free.
We don’t pick who publicizes with us. These advertisements are picked and served to our site fundamentally by Google. Like promoting all over the place, you may discover a portion of the administrations offered by our publicists supportive, while others are most certainly not.
If you don’t mind take note of that Evolving Door Astrology isn’t in charge of the approaches and practices of our sponsors.
Huge numbers of these advertisements make extremely enticing offers. How would you choose? The best rule about anything on the web is dependably Buyer Beware. An offer could be helpful and fun, or it won’t not be what you need by any means. We don’t know which publicist will give you what you’re searching for. Notwithstanding, we can offer recommendations about what to look for while picking a best astrologer in bangalore or crystal zigang administration. Furthermore, that is the thing that this article is for.
Uplifting news and terrible news….
How would you know whether a soothsayer is appropriate for you? Everybody needs something somewhat extraordinary. What is ideal for your companion might be thoroughly wrong for you. Astrologer in bangalore are diverse as well. There are dependably varieties in what every one does, since we as a whole expedite our one of a kind point of view life to what we do. What’s more, to convolute things, there are a few people who might not have your best advantages on the most fundamental level.
Fortunately likely a large portion of the celestial prophets out there are genuine, genuine soothsayers. Their expertise and involvement in famous astrologer in bangalore or business may fluctuate fairly, yet their expectations are respectable and they need to give you the best administration they can.
Shockingly, there are a few people who claim to be not kidding astrologer in bangalore yet their activities and strategies propose something else. Best case scenario, they may have little understanding or learning in soothsaying, or they basically aren’t ready to give the sort of understanding you’re searching for. Even from a pessimistic standpoint, they’re just intrigued by getting your cash, not in giving a bona fide or quality administration. Tragically, these individuals likewise give real, genuine and best astrologer in india an awful name that isn’t merited.
The proposals underneath are planned to enable you to measure whether a famous astrologer in india may be appropriate for you. This isn’t a thorough rundown. You’ll discover a portion of the more typical and imperative things to look for, which could enable you to enlighten if something concerning them isn’t including. You’ll likewise discover a few recommendations and thoughts to consider while thinking about a celestial prophet.
Keep away from issues ~ be extremely careful if…
The offer sounds pipe dream.
The well-known adage still holds up — on the off chance that it sounds pipe dream, it likely is. A considerable measure of advertisements advance readings that are free or at a strangely ease. It is safe to say that they are without a doubt? Kind of. Possibly. A few famous astrologer in karnataka do give basic offers with ease, trusting you will be intrigued enough to purchase their higher valued administrations. Regularly what you really get for nothing or a super low cost is just a concise translation printout that is frequently enormously distorted or over-summed up. Some authentic crystal gazers utilize this as an advertising system to pull in potential customers. Lamentably, this strategy is additionally utilized by some sketchy soothsaying administrations. Simply recollect that you get what you pay for. Try not to expect a genuine, top to bottom perusing to no end.
They are wishy-washy or conflicting about how much something will cost.
Profiting “clean” once more
This doesn’t really mean there is a genuine issue or that the individual isn’t moral. Notwithstanding, if the individual or administration can’t be clear about what they will charge you, this ought to be viewed as a poor business rehearse, best case scenario. On the off chance that you aren’t happy with the terms as they are given to you, even in the wake of disclosing to them you discover them confounding, you should need to consider whether this is the best celestial prophet for you.
The individual says they can expel a revile from your cash.
This is regularly viewed as a splendid warning that can demonstrate the individual isn’t all good. Many trick craftsmen utilize this introduce to take a lot of your cash, which obviously you never observe again.
Then again, there are some famous astrologer in bangalore who are profound or religious customs that do now and then utilize custom or petition to enable you to make progress in your life, and some of their professionals do charge for these administrations. So in all decency, offering an administration like this doesn’t really make it a trick; nonetheless, you ought to continue just with extraordinary alert.
It’s ideal in case you’re very comfortable with the otherworldly custom they claim to be lined up with, so you can measure on the off chance that they’re true or not. In case you’re not acquainted with their custom, you should need to mull over utilizing this current individual’s administrations — at any rate, discover more about it from somebody you trust, before you give somebody a lot of cash or your charge card data.
They utilize high weight or unnerve strategies to motivate you to purchase.
It’s extremely regular for businessmen to publicize their administrations and items to past clients. They should expel you from their promoting list in the event that you ask for it. Nonetheless, on the off chance that they seem to be an utilized auto salesperson endeavoring to offer you a garbage load, you should need to mull over whether they’re the correct best astrologer in karnataka for you. On the off chance that they make stunning guarantees or apply high weight or dread strategies to inspire you to purchase, you’re insightful to wary.
For instance, if the individual demands you have a dynamite opportunity coming up that will never come back again, however won’t give much else particular without an installment, a rude awakening is unequivocally exhorted. Similarly, on the off chance that they caution about ghastly occasions that will annihilate your life on the off chance that you don’t get more points of interest from them, yet they request an installment before giving any more data, this ought to be dealt with as a notice that their approach is an unnerve strategy, not a moral advancement.
It is the “over the best” embellishment of their cases that raises the warning of alert. Likewise, the wording in these sorts of notification is normally so broad and obscure that there is nothing there that identifies with you by and by. It’s a frame letter that could have been sent to anybody (and sometimes, likely was). In the event that they’re not willing to give any additional data in advance that is unmistakably about you or your graph, it’s savvy to treat it with incredible alert, best case scenario.
The celestial prophet/customer limit is crossed or befuddled.
The subject of limits is a delicate one, for some reasons. A few best astrologer in bangalore feel emphatically that, similar to any other person in the helping fields, the connection amongst soothsayer and customer ought to stay proficient and not turn out to be actually close. For a few, this incorporates dating and sex, or even simply feeling like they’re making advances on you. Others feel that as long as everybody is a consenting grown-up then it’s alright to cover limits. Then again, attractions do happen so what do you do? Should companionship be thought about intersection limits?
These are mind boggling and here and there dubious inquiries. There’s nobody simple answer that covers all circumstances. Be that as it may, the last word is this: on the off chance that you feel awkward about anything, you have the privilege to state no and have that regarded. This goes for anything from insinuate advances to what you discuss in the perusing. On the off chance that something comes up that you’d rather not discuss, let them know. On the off chance that they decline to respect your demand, you have the privilege to end the perusing in the event that it ends up like that. Keep in mind: the perusing is for you, not the astrologer in bangalore.
